BioPBS: Explained

Most of our products have the option to be coated with BioPBS as an alternative to conventional petroleum-based plastic coatings such as PE.

So, what is BioPBS? BioPBS is a biodegradable and compostable bioplastic material which can be used as a barrier on paper products such as cups and bowls. Invented by the Mitsubishi Corporation, it is fully certified and food-safe. Despite being a bio-based material, BioPBS still has excellent resistance to hot liquids.
